Automation is one of the best things you can do to increase your productivity as an online entrepreneur. In this lesson I’ll discuss different types of techniques you can use to help you manage your time properly and ease your workload.
As an Internet marketer, you are going to find a pattern in some of the tasks that you carry out each and every day. Whenever you are able to automate some of these steps, it will free you up to be able to focus on work that can improve your profits and expand your reach with your target audience.
The first thing you want to do is look at what you can or want to automate in your business. These are things that are repeated over and over again, such as sending out an email, posting content to your blog, etc.
If you are creating sales pages for new product launches on a regular basis, you can automate the process to some degree by creating a page that you can simply clone and tweak.
If you are sharing your blog posts to social media, this is something that you can also automate using tools that will do this for you, so that it becomes a hands off approach for you.
Instead of having to write emails on a regular basis and send them out to your list, you may want to purchase some private label rights and queue up a daily email or weekly email to go out to your subscribers on a drip fed basis.
With the growth of AI we’ve seen that you can also use that to create emails for you. I will be sharing more about how to do that in a future email lesson.
There are new systems that are emerging that can also automate parts of your business. You may or may not want to adopt these, but artificial intelligence is another way you can automate the customer service experience.
You’ve probably been on the receiving end of this as a consumer, but a chat bot can often answer some of the most mundane inquiries. If the consumer still needs help, they can escalate the issue to you for a more direct response.
The one thing you have to remember about using automation strategies and tools is that there is the potential for a technical glitch. So you want to make sure you are monitoring the automation of your business at all times.
For example, make sure you are on your own email subscriber list so that you receive a copy of each email that goes out and you can check it to make sure it is being received accurately and in a timely manner.
In the next email in this series I’m going to discuss the burnt out, overwhelmed, and overburdened feeling that many of us solopreneurs experience and how time management is essential to help overcome this.
Until next time,
